This interactive session will explore how families
can engage in conversations that will strengthen the family.

Charles W. Collier, renowned Harvard senior philanthropic adviser and author, will share his insights about "The Practices of Flourishing Families" on Wednesday, September 29 at The Olmsted.

"Many families, including wealthy families, have a narrow definition of family assets or family wealth. Wealth of a family is not exclusively financial," says Mr. Collier.

"Family wealth has four distinct dimensions: human, intellectual, social and financial. I want people to realize the tremendous importance of the three dimensions beyond financial wealth."

In this interactive presentation, Mr. Collier will discuss the importance of a family having a healthy attitude toward - and treatment of - money. He will also discuss the challenges and opportunities that families face today, and how breakthrough conversations can strengthen families.

Mr. Collier is a nationally-recognized expert on planned giving and family philanthropy. As an advisor in family wealth, he works with hundreds of individuals to help shape their philanthropy, make tax-wise gift decisions and address family issues surrounding wealth. A second edition of his book, Wealth in Families, was published by Harvard University in 2006.

His areas of expertise include helping families focus on the effects of financial wealth on children, how family philanthropy can enhance family well-being, and how financial wealth presents unique opportunities for individual growth.

Join us and learn how to enrich your family through effective and meaningful conversations about all the dimensions of your family's assets.

All guests will receive a copy of Collier's book, Wealth in Families.
